GFA UNVEILS CARLOS QUEIROZ AS NEW BLACK STARS HEAD COACH

The Ghana Football Association has officially introduced Carlos Queiroz as the new head coach of the Black Stars.

The unveiling took place on Thursday, April 23, 2026, where the experienced coach expressed confidence in his approach, emphasizing a strong, team-oriented style of play. He noted that his philosophy focuses on collective effort both in attack and defense, stressing the importance of quickly regaining possession to create scoring opportunities.

Queiroz is expected to begin his tenure with a high-profile international match, as Ghana faces Wales national football team in Cardiff on May 2.

The ceremony was attended by key football officials, including GFA President Kurt Okraku, Vice President Mark Addo, Black Stars assistant coach Desmond Offei, members of the technical team, and representatives from the supporters’ union.
