DSP EMMANUEL OSEI’S EXEMPLARY LEADERSHIP IN ROAD SAFETY EARNS COMMUNITY PRAISE
The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) who double as Bibiani Divisional Commander of the Mottor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) DSP Emmanuel Osei made headlines once again by partnering with the Western North Regional Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) led Mr Mawuli Duddi to secure over 150 additional licenses for motorcyclists in Bibiani.
This initiative is part of his ongoing commitment to improving road safety and ensuring that riders are adequately licensed, reflecting his dedication to the community and to the protection of its residents.
Western North Regional DVLA boss said that, their three days working visit to Bibiani was championed by DSP Mr. Emmanuel Osei who’s Bibiani Divisional MTTD Commander to get ridding linces for riders in the area from the Monday October 13 to October 16 2025.
He further advised vehicle owners to give away their vehicles too only certified riders.
This recent accomplishment builds on an impressive track record that DSP Osei established in 2022, when he successfully collaborated with the DVLA to secure more than 150 licenses specifically for tricycle riders. His efforts in promoting lawful ridership are crucial, particularly in Bibiani and its environs where two and three motorized-wheelers are essential for transport and commerce.
Moreover, DSP Osei’s focus on road safety extends beyond licensing.
Furthermore, in 2022, he played a significant role in raising over GHC 20,000 in court fines and GHC 23,000 in 2023 for various offenses committed by riders and drivers. This initiative not only emphasizes the importance of law enforcement but also serves as a deterrent against reckless driving, thereby enhancing road safety for all.
The Bibiani community has seen a surge in tricycle operations, providing vital transportation and employment opportunities. Amidst concerns over rider indiscipline and accidents, DSP Emmanuel Osei, Bibiani Divisional Commander of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD), has demonstrated exceptional leadership in promoting road safety, earning him community praise.
As these remarkable achievements continue to garner attention in Bibiani, the public has called upon the Interior Ministry and the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, to consider promoting DSP Emmanuel Osei to the rank of Superintendent. His exemplary leadership, dedication to community service, and proactive approach to road safety make him a deserving candidate for such an elevation.
In a time where effective law enforcement and safety initiatives are crucial for the development of a secure and well-regulated transportation environment, DSP Osei stands out as a model of commitment and integrity. His ongoing efforts not only benefit riders but also instill confidence in the public regarding the safety of their roads. As the community rallies behind him, it is clear that DSP Emmanuel Osei is making a significant impact, and his potential promotion would only serve to amplify his positive influence in law enforcement.
