Eleve Health Watch CEO Urges Ghanaians to Take Health Seriously

The Founder and CEO of Eleve Health Watch, Nana Abena Gyamfua Ababio, has called on Ghanaians to take their health seriously and seek timely medical care.

Speaking to the media, she noted that although many people are aware of their health conditions, they often fail to follow through with the necessary treatment. She explained that her organization collaborates with other institutions to provide support but stressed the need for more partnerships to expand their impact, especially in underserved communities.

“We need support from organizations to create social impact and work together to help people living in rural and low-income areas,” she appealed.

Sharing her experiences from a recent outreach in Akuapem South, Nana Ababio revealed that many residents do not consult doctors or even have knowledge about their illnesses. She said her team had to educate the community and discovered cases such as a student who had been missing school due to untreated sickness.

“We realized that some people don’t seek medical help at all. In one case, a student was unable to attend school because of illness. We had to assist the student to access medication. What we need is to empower communities to access basic healthcare so that everyone, no matter where they are, can receive proper medical attention,” she emphasized.
