The Asanteman Youth for Cultural Development has condemned recent acts of disrespect towards the Asante Kingdom and its revered leader, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II . At a press conference held on Friday at Manhyia, the group’s leader, Enoch Osei Kwadwo Hyiamang, expressed the frustrations of the Asante youth, emphasizing their zero-tolerance stance on disrespect from influential individuals and groups.

Mr. Hyiamang alleged that these attacks are part of a deliberate scheme to tarnish the Asantehene’s reputation and undermine the Asante Kingdom. “We are aware that these attacks are politically motivated,” he stated, citing investigations that reveal politicians are behind the recent criticisms.

The youth group has issued an ultimatum to Media General, specifically Onua TV, demanding a public apology for disrespecting the Asantehene and his linguists during recent broadcasts. “If they fail to do so, they will face our wrath,” Mr. Hyiamang warned.
