National Imam of Ghana Muslim Mission Commissions New Mosque at Metem

There was Joy in and around Metem, in the Atwima Nwabiagya South District, following the commissioning of a new mosque for the community.

The mosque funded by Mr.Zachariah Ali a businessman in the Metem surrounding was a request of the community members.

Before the commissioning, Sheikh Harun Nkansah Agyekum, National Imam of Ghana Muslim Mission, former Imam of the Ghana Armed Forces, Mr

Zacharia Ali and some members of the community observed a Muslim Prayer since they were still observing Ramadan in the mosque, and prayers of appreciation were offered for his generous gesture to the community.

Speaking to Journalist Sheikh Harun Nkansah Agyekum, National Imam of Ghana, Muslim Mission, former Imam for Ghana Armed Forces, discloses that the opening of the Mosque is an advantage for all Muslims living in the environs who had difficulty in locating a nearby Mosque for prayers.

He said the Mosque is a place where prayers are offered through the usage of the forehead, also a place of unity where ideas are shared among Muslims.

He praised Mr.Zachariah Ali for putting up an edifice to support the good work of Allah, as blessings were lavished on him for supporting this laudable initiative. He advised the members to make good use of the mosque especially keeping it clean to prevent any early damage and casualties.

“As we are in the month of Ramadan I encourage all parents to be the watchdog of their wards by teaching them the right thing to do, and also desist from any form of violence when called upon, this is because Islam is not about violence or fighting against one another but rather teaching us to love, unit and be humble”.He said.

Nana Kwadwo Agyapong, Otumfuo topemanhene Odikro Nyinahinso, Asuogya, and Metem expressed immense gratitude to Mr. Zacharia Ali and prayed to Allah to reward him abundantly, both on earth and in the hereafter.

This beautiful mosque you built for us here in the community will not only help us get closer to our maker, but will also ease the burden of our brothers and sisters traveling elsewhere to pray. May the Almighty Allah reward and bless you abundantly for this wonderful gesture’.He added.

He called on all sundry to emulate the kind act of Mr. Zacharia Ali towards growth and development in the society.
