DCE Agumah Cautions Boamang Maase Residents Against Partisan Politics in Development
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Afigya Kwabre North, Hon. Emmanuel Jackson Agumah, has urged residents of Boamang Maase and surrounding communities to look beyond partisan politics and embrace every administration to drive local development.
Speaking at a commissioning ceremony on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, Hon. Agumah expressed concern over the tendency of some residents to reject or ignore developmental projects simply because they originate from a specific political party.
He emphasized that progress and infrastructure are meant for all citizens, including those in deprived communities like Boamang Maase, and should not be restricted to major cities like Greater Accra.
The event marked the official commissioning of two major educational projects funded through the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) and executed by the Afigya Kwabre North District Assembly.
The commissioning includes a newly constructed two-unit kindergarten (KG) block with ancillary facilities at the Kyekyewere Methodist School, and fully renovated kindergarten block with ancillary facilities at Boamang Maase.
Designed to foster a safe, conducive, and child-friendly learning environment, the facilities feature spacious classrooms, an office, a kitchen, a store, child-friendly washrooms, and restrooms.
Fulfilling a swift commitment made during the event, the DCE has subsequently supplied the school with hexagonal chairs, enabling teaching and learning to commence immediately at the new kindergarten facility.
Hon. Agumah reiterated that education remains a primary focus for both the central government and the local assembly. He called on school authorities to adopt strong maintenance practices to ensure the longevity of the facilities and save future public expenditures.
Representing the District Director of Education, Human Resource Manager Thomas Amoako expressed profound gratitude to the Assembly and the government for easing infrastructure challenges in the district.
However, he appealed to the DCE and the Assembly to utilize the DACF to supply additional hexagonal chairs to support the new kindergarten blocks.
The well-attended commissioning ceremony brought together prominent traditional leaders, including the Kontihene of Kyekyewere, Nana Amoako Detwa, and Opani Akwesi Beache (Otumfuo Sefeaso Abusuapanni of Boamang Maase).
Also present were the District Coordinating Director, department heads, project contractors, assembly members, teachers, pupils, and local residents.
