The Member of Parliament for the Nsuta Kwamang Beposo Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Hon.Adelaide Ntim, has organised a Christmas party for about 1,500 children in her constituency and Asante Mampong as well.
The lawmaker reached out to Mampong Babies Home to donates an amount of 20,000gh to organize party for the children and added 1,500 pieces of drinks which estimated an amount of 30,000 to ensure happiness in the faces of the inmates.
There was a dancing competition for the children in Mampong Babies Home after which some children were given prizes which were all sponsored by the MP.
The hardworking and benevolent member of parliament, Hon. Adelaide Ntim again shared take away food to more than 300 children in Anansu, her hometown and finally donated 2,000gh to Hope in Christ Orphanage where she added 300 pieces of take away rice and drinks to the inmates in Sekyere Kwamang.
Speaking to media after the event, the MP accentuate the paramount of this party and the need to embrace this boxing day, asserting that these it’s very necessitated to predominantly show love and care to these orphans due to their condition.
According to her, she has been visiting Mampong Babies Home for quite long time even when i was staying in abroad on most occasions to donate something for their upkeeps and this year’s Boxing Day has brought me here to sponsor their end of year party with drinks and food, am very elated to undertake this step to ensure their happiness.
She said, there’s a blessings in giving than receiving so she will entreat people to reach out to the less privilege and orphans in our societies so that they can attest to the fact that those who give to needy has never lack in their life.
Touching on gratuitous spending on funeral and clothes among mothers, Hon. Adelaide Ntim opined that, parents should prioritize their wards needs rather than excessively spending their resources on things that are less beneficial to human development because the children are their future.
Moreover Madam Hannah Enning, the director of Mampong Babies Home expressed satisfaction to the gesture done by the MP saying this is an annual event where people sponsor but this year’s own has been was paid by Hon. Adelaide Ntim to ensure the happiness in the mix of the inmates.
