Akuapem South MP Delivers Heartfelt Message at Odwira Festival
The Member of Parliament for Akuapem South, Hon. Lawrencia Dziwornu, has delivered an emotional address during the grand durbar of the Odwira Festival at Akuapem.
In her speech, she expressed deep sorrow over the tragic death of six Ghanaian women who lost their lives in a stampede during the recent military screening exercise at the El-Wak Sports Stadium. She described the incident as painful, dangerous, and disastrous, noting that these young women were simply seeking employment opportunities to serve their nation.
Hon. Dziwornu extended her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families who have lost their loved ones and called for support for them during this difficult time. She also led the gathering in observing a minute of silence in honour of the deceased.
