From Prison to Pulpit: Rev. Dr. Nana Kwasi Agyemang Shares Message of Hope with Kumasi Inmates

A former highlife musician turned preacher, Rev. Dr. Nana Kwasi Agyemang, is using his life story to inspire inmates at the Kumasi Central Prisons, encouraging them to believe in second chances and the power of change.

Speaking after a thanksgiving service at Christ Is All Deliverance Church at Mamponteng Fitam, held alongside Rev. Maame Afiah, Rev. Dr. Agyemang shared how a past mistake changed the course of his life. He recounted being jailed for 15 years after mistakenly shooting someone a turning point that eventually led him to Christ and a life of ministry abroad.

In his message to the inmates, he urged the youth to be mindful of the company they keep. “Bad friends can destroy your future. Just one wrong move with the wrong people can land you in serious trouble,” he said. He also encouraged inmates not to lose hope, reminding them that prison is not the end of their story. “You can rise again and become a valuable person in society,” he emphasized.

Rev. Dr. Agyemang’s powerful testimony is now a beacon of hope for many, showing that true transformation is possible, no matter one’s past.
