Apostle Fordjour Evangelistic Ministries Marks 60th Anniversary in Grand Style

Apostle Fordjour Evangelistic Ministries, formerly known as Bible Believers Ministries, has celebrated its 60th anniversary under the theme: “Celebrating Six Decades of God’s Blessings: Appreciating Our Leader’s Vision and Embarking on a Path of Church Growth and National Development.”

The church, founded in 1964 at the home of Papa Kwabena Oware in Konkoma, Lake Bosomtwe District, has grown from humble beginnings to a network of 15 branches.

Apostle Thomas Fordjour Bretwum, the General Overseer, took over the leadership in 1984 following the passing of his mother, who originally established the ministry. At the time, the church had only one branch. By 1987, Apostle Fordjour began expanding the ministry into cities, towns, and villages. Recognizing his zeal, dedication, and vision, the church was renamed in his honor as Apostle Fordjour Evangelistic Ministries.

In an exclusive interview, Apostle Fordjour reflected on his decades of service, attributing his success to humility and obedience to God. “I have worked for the Lord for so long because I humble myself and obey Him purely without arrogance in my everyday life,” he said.

He emphasized the transformative power of worshiping God with a pure heart, noting, “When you worship God sincerely, He molds you in a way that sets you apart positively.”

Apostle Fordjour also offered advice to the newly elected president, urging him to walk in God’s path. “If you invite God into your leadership, He will strengthen and direct you to rule the nation well,” he said.

The anniversary celebration was a momentous occasion, reflecting on six decades of God’s blessings while looking forward to continued growth and contributions to national development.
