Ohemaa of Manso Abore Hails President Mahama’s Historic DCE Appointment, Appeals for Road Development

The Ohemaa of Manso Abore, Nana Akosua Akyiaw Manso Abore Hemaa, has expressed profound gratitude to former President John Dramani Mahama for appointing a native of Manso Abore as District Chief Executive (DCE) for Amansie West a historic first for the community.

In a statement, the Queen Mother described the appointment as a milestone for Manso Abore, emphasizing that it demonstrates recognition and inclusion for the area in local governance. “This decision honors our community and strengthens our trust in leadership that values native participation,” she stated.

While celebrating the appointment, Nana Akosua Akyiaw also appealed to President Mahama to prioritize road infrastructure in Manso Nkwanta Constituency and the broader Mansoman area. She highlighted the urgent need for well-constructed roads to boost economic activities, improve access to healthcare and education, and enhance overall development.

The appeal comes as residents of Mansoman continue to grapple with poor road networks that hinder transportation and commerce. The Ohemaa’s call aligns with broader community expectations for infrastructural improvements under the new DCE’s administration.
