GJA Mourns Despite Media Staff Samuel Aguuri, Extends Condolences to Family and Colleagues
The President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Albert Dwumfour, together with the Executives of the Ashanti Regional Branch of the Association, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Samuel Aguuri, a staff member of Despite Media Company.
Mr. Aguuri reportedly passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026, after a short illness.
In a statement, the GJA extended its heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family, his colleagues at Hello FM and UTV, as well as the entire media fraternity during this difficult time.
The Association prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul and asked God to grant comfort and strength to all who are grieving his loss.
Sympathizers and members of the public have been invited to join the family for his final funeral rites scheduled for Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the Twapiase Roman Catholic Church Park near Obuasi.
The statement was signed by Beatrice Spio-Garbrah, Ashanti Regional Secretary of the Ghana Journalists Association.
