NPP Regional Elections: Full List of Newly Elected Regional Chairmen

The NPP regional executive elections were held on Saturday, August 15, with several chairmanship contests ending in closely contested races.

Based on provisional results announced by Electoral Commission officials who supervised the elections, the following candidates have been elected as regional chairmen:

1. Ahafo Region – Robert Sarfo Mensah

2. Ashanti Region – Odeneho Kwaku Appiah

3. Bono Region – Kwame Baffoe Abronye

4. Bono East Region – Ibrahim Bukari Baba

5. Central Region – Joseph Kobinah Esibu

6. Eastern Region – Jeff Konadu Addo

7. Greater Accra Region – Dr Bernard Okoe Boye

8. North East Region – Alhaji Mohammed Fuseini

9. Northern Region – Mohammed Baatima Adam (Samba)

10. Oti Region – Dr Frank Yirenkyi

11. Savannah Region – Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana

12. Upper East Region – Elvis Figo Awonekai

13. Upper West Region – Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman

14. Volta Region – Makafui Kofi Woanyah

15. Western Region – Ignatius Kwesi Afrifa

16. Western North Region – Result pending

The elections form part of the NPP’s wider reorganisation programme, which is aimed at strengthening the party’s structures at the regional level, reconnecting with grassroots supporters and positioning the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.

The newly elected regional chairmen are expected to work with their respective executives to lead mobilisation efforts, strengthen the party’s grassroots structures, drive the reorganisation process and coordinate preparations towards the next general elections.
