Minister of trade and industry has sent some list to the parliament for restrictions of importation

Honourable Kobina Tahir Hammond member of parliament for Adansi- Asokwa Constituency in the Ashanti region of Ghana and also doubled as Trade and Industry through the government has submitted a bill to parliament house seeking to restrict importation of a number of products.

Including Rice, Ceramic tiles, Water, Mosquito coil, Cement, Sugar, Canned tomatoes, Soft drink, Bladders, Minerals and others.

If  the bill passes, importers who seek to bring such products into the country will require a certificate of clearance from the government.
