Government Allocates ₵25m to WAEC for Smooth Marking and Timely Release of 2024 WASSCE Results
The Ministry of Education has stepped in to ensure the uninterrupted marking of the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) scripts by allocating an additional GH₵25 million to the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).
The announcement, made on Monday, December 23, by the ministry’s spokesperson, Kwasi Kwarteng, confirms that the funding will address operational challenges and ease financial pressures faced by WAEC. The move is expected to expedite the marking process and ensure the timely release of results.
