Private schools appeal for gov’t support

Headmaster of Say-Adsam educational complex, in Kotwi within the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region, Mr Emmanuel Nsowah have made a passionate appeal to government to support private schools by directing part of the budgetary allocation given to public schools to them.

He made the appeal during the 15th Anniversary and 12th graduation ceremony held in the school compus.

Mr Nsowah told the media that though they are enrolled in private schools because they are Ghanaian children it is important for them to also benefit from government subventions including capitation grants, free teaching and learning material like chalk, school uniforms, textbooks, furniture among others.

Mr Emmanuel Nsowah commended government for given 10 percent allocation enrollment to government since it help government schools in the deprived areas to benefit from good schools in the country.
