ECOWAS CONVENES DELIBERATION ON REGIONAL CLEAN COOKING ACTION IN WEST AFRICA HELD
The Commission of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS Commission), with support from the European Union (EU) and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, convened a meeting of the Steering Committee for the Regional Clean Cooking Action in West Africa (ReCCAWA) on the 29th of September 2025 in Abuja, Nigeria.
The ReCCAWA Programme, worth 15.5 million Euros, aims to expand access to clean, efficient, and affordable cooking energy solutions across the ECOWAS region.
Co-funded by the European Union and the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the program is implemented by the ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE), the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), and the Spanish Cooperation (AECID), in partnership with Energising Development (EnDev). The programme will be implemented over a period of four (4) years.
