Counsellor Lutterodt Charged Over Viral Video, Granted GH¢50,000 Bail

Counsellor George Lutterodt has been charged with offensive conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace following the circulation of a controversial video on social media.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared before the court and was subsequently granted bail of GH¢50,000 with two justified sureties.

According to the prosecution, Lutterodt, a biomedical clinical engineer who resides at the SSNIT Flats in Adenta, Accra, was arrested after police discovered a viral video posted on Facebook.

The video, reportedly shared on the platform Kwesi TV on Monday, March 9, 2026, allegedly captured the accused urging some youth to storm the residence of the late highlife musician, Daddy Lumba, over claims that the musician had been buried in the house.

In the video, Lutterodt was quoted as calling on some Ga youth in Accra to take action and move to the residence with tools such as pickaxes to search for the alleged burial site.

The prosecution told the court that the video triggered police action, leading to his arrest. Investigators also revealed that during the probe, another video surfaced showing a group of youth believed to be Ga residents gathering near the late musician’s residence.
