Manso Adubia Health Centre Grapples with Lack of Basic Facilities Amid Growing Pressure

The Manso Adubia Health Centre in the Amansie South District is facing serious challenges due to a shortage of essential facilities, with health officials calling for urgent support to improve service delivery.

A major concern at the facility is the absence of a reliable standby generator, which is affecting operations, especially during power outages. Health workers say uninterrupted electricity is critical for effective healthcare delivery, particularly in emergency situations.
Speaking during a short ceremony, the Deputy Physician at the centre, Mr. Thomas Adjei, outlined a number of challenges confronting the facility.

These include inadequate staffing, poor internal road networks, and erosion that is gradually threatening parts of the health centre’s compound.

Mr. Adjei made these remarks when the Assembly Member for Manso Adubia Electoral Area, Hon. Peter Awereh, donated 10 hospital beds to the men’s ward to support healthcare delivery at the facility.

In his address, Hon. Peter Awereh stressed the need for stakeholders and individuals to support the health sector, noting that improving healthcare infrastructure is essential to enhancing the wellbeing of residents in the community.

The District Director of Health Services for Amansie South, Dr. Ofosu Kwabi, also commended individuals and groups who continue to contribute to healthcare development in the district. He encouraged more support to help address the growing needs of health facilities in the area.

Health authorities are appealing to government, NGOs, and philanthropists to come to the aid of the Manso Adubia Health Centre to help improve conditions and ensure quality healthcare for residents.
