Reshaping Works Begin on Manso Akwasiso to Manso Nkran Road

Rehabilitation works have commenced on the road linking Manso Akwasiso to Manso Nkran in the Amansie South District.

The exercise, which involves reshaping the road, is being carried out by the Amansie South District Assembly with support from Asanko Gold Ghana Limited.

According to officials, the project is part of efforts to improve road conditions, enhance transportation, ease the movement of people and goods, and boost socio-economic development within beneficiary communities and the district at large.

Mr. Justice Fenteng, General Manager for Asanko Gold Mines, disclosed that the rock-filling phase for both the Akwasiso to Koniase Nkran route and the Manso Abiram sections is expected to be completed within the next 10 to 14 days.

During the reshaping works, the District Chief Executive, Honourable Benjamin Marfo, together with the Presiding Member, Honourable Peter Awere, who also serves as the Assemblymember for Manso Adubia Electoral Area, led a team to inspect the rock-filling works.

The inspection team included some Assembly members, security personnel, and other staff from the Assembly.

The DCE expressed appreciation to the management of Asanko Gold Mines for their swift response following discussions between the two parties.

The project is expected to bring significant relief to commuters and residents who rely on the route for their daily activities.
