Update on Educational Infrastructure Projects in Salaga
This morning, the contractor assigned to construct the Salaga Islamic Junior High School (JHS) visited the school site together with the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, and the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Kassim Yazid Rabiu.
The contractor confirmed that all contractual arrangements for the construction of the Islamic JHS have been finalized and that work will commence shortly. He assured the MP and the MCE of his commitment to delivering the project on schedule and to the highest quality standards.
During the visit, the MP also observed that the Salaga Islamic Primary School building is in a weak and deplorable state. She indicated her intention to engage the Minister of Education to explore the POSSIBILITY of including the primary school in the same project, so that both facilities can be reconstructed together.
In addition to the Salaga Islamic JHS project, two-storey dormitory blocks will also be constructed for Salaga Senior High School and Salaga T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School. These projects aim to ease the accommodation challenges currently faced by students in the two senior high schools within the constituency.
We express our sincere gratitude to the Honourable Minister of Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu for his special eyes on our constituency. Special thanks to our hardworking Member of Parliament Hon. Hajia Zuwera Ibrahimah, for her continuous dedication and commitment to improving education in the Salaga-South constituency.
