SUAME MUNICIPAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE CUT SOD FOR CONSTRUCTION OF FOUR DEVELOPMENTAL PROJECTS

The Municipal Chief Executive for Suame, Hon. Frank Owusu Ansah, has officially cut the sod for the construction of a community-based health planning and services CHP compound, School infrastructure, and a mechanized borehole in the Suame municipality.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place during a comprehensive tour of various electoral areas where the MCE handed over construction sites to contractors to commence work on the ambitious infrastructure project, funded by the District Assembly’s common fund. The event witnessed significant attendance from key stakeholders, including the traditional authorities, assembly members, district staff, and contractors.

The ceremony marked a significant step in the assembly’s effort to improve administrative infrastructure, healthcare infrastructure, and sanitation facilities within educational institutions in the municipality.

At Pintinka is the construction of a mechanized borehole, Breman-Nkwantwima is the construction of a Health Center, Kronum Abuohia is the construction of a health center, and at Kwapra is the construction of a 6-unit and 2 units classroom block with 11 seater toilet facility for Kwapra Primary and Kindergarten School in the Suame Municipalities.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Frank Owusu Ansah said the project forms part of the National Democratic Congress NDC government’s broader development Agenda aimed at improving infrastructure and strengthening public service delivery at the local level. He explained that the initiative reflects the assembly’s commitment to supporting healthcare, education, and creating an enabling environment for effective administration and human capital development.

Hon.Owusu Ansah emphasized that improving healthcare, water, and basic school infrastructure remains a priority, as it directly impacts teaching, learning, and the overall well-being of students, staff, and community members.

He assured chiefs, Residents, healthcare workers, and school authorities of the Assembly’s resolve to continue initiating projects that promote development and improve living and working conditions across the municipalities.

In an interview with the contractor for the project, B Moli construction, Aid to the Director Alhassan Yakubu assured community members of his commitment to delivering quality work in accordance with the project specifications, He stated that the construction would be completed within the stipulated time frame in the contract, barring any unforeseen challenges. He also pledged to adhere strictly to safety and quality standards throughout the execution of the project.

Chiefs of the various areas expressed their appreciation to the DCE and government for the interventions. They promise to monitor the project vigorously to prevent any delays.
