Solani Montessori Celebrates Valentine’s Day with Love and Generosity

Solani Montessori, a prestigious school in Bibiani township, celebrated Valentine’s Day in grand style by organizing a special event for pupils and staff.

The event, dubbed “Give Something to That Special Friend,” featured a lively dance where pupils socialized and had fun. Teachers also incorporated Valentine’s Day-themed activities into their lessons, such as writing love poems and discussing the history and significance of the occasion.

Mr. Solomon Aniah, CEO of the SOLANI Group of Companies—specializing in surveying, estate development, building materials, and heavy-duty equipment—emphasized the importance of quality education, which led to the establishment of the school with significant investment. He stated that education is not merely about reading, writing, and passing examinations but about training the heart and mind to integrate well into society.

“Giving is a virtue that should be cultivated by all to make the earth a comfortable place to live. By so doing, the haves will support the have-nots,” he remarked.

The CEO urged parents to enroll their children in the school for sound moral, spiritual, psychological, and emotional training to equip them for the 21st century. He highlighted the school’s state-of-the-art facilities designed to help students overcome modern challenges. As part of the celebration, chocolates and other gifts were distributed to staff and pupils.

In his address, the headmaster, Mr. John Owusu, reiterated the importance of giving and sharing, referencing the Bible’s teaching that God demonstrated the ultimate act of love by giving His only begotten Son for mankind’s salvation. He stressed that the value of a gift lies not in its size but in the intention and impact it has in alleviating human suffering and poverty. Supporting the needy, he stated, is crucial in addressing the various challenges individuals face.
