NDC Chairman Calls for Reinstatement of Old Government Appointees

Hon. Peter Apaje, NDC Chairman for Asante Akyem North Constituency and Assembly Member for Ananekrom, is advocating for the reinstatement of former government appointees to the assembly.

The controversy stems from the Regional Minister’s decision to revoke the appointments of initial government appointees during the confirmation of MCE Hon. Sarah Amoakoah, citing suspected foul play.

The Regional Minister revoked initial appointments and appointed new ones, sparking controversy.

During the Assembly Meeting today,Hon. Apaje walked out of a general assembly meeting, demanding the reinstatement and swearing-in of old appointees.

The MCE denied receiving any directive from the Regional Minister, questioning the authenticity of an unofficial letter presented by Hon. Apagye.
