The Environmental Protection Agency has received a draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Proposed Alluvial Gold Mining and Processing Project by Sam and Gyan Limited located at Nimbreso in the Amansie Central District of the Ashanti Region.

 

In accordance with Regulations 16 (3) and (5) of the Environmental Assessment Regulations, 1999 (LI 1652) and Ghana’s Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Procedures, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issues this Public Notification on the proposed gold mining and processing project.

 

Copies of the Environmental Impact Statement are available at the EPA Head Office Library – Accra, EPA Ashanti Regional Office – Kumasi, EPA Obuasi Area Office – Obuasi, Amansie Central District Assembly – Jacobu and the EPA website via the link, https://bit.ly/samandgyandrafteis

Any person who has an interest, concerns or special knowledge relating to the potential environmental and social impacts of the proposed undertaking, shall within 21 days from the date of the publication of this notice submit in writing such concerns, etc. to:
