Story by Kwabena Yeboah and Alex Ababio

The Assistant Public Relations Officer for APEX, a non-governmental organization, Rev. Adu Michael has called on the Ghana Immigration Service, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and the Ministry of Interior to arrest all illegal foreign nationals—particularly Chinese immigrants—who have invaded the country’s forests and are destroying lands and river bodies through illegal mining activities.

Rev. Adu Michael emphasized that institutions like the Ghana Immigration Service have long neglected their responsibilities and must now rise to the occasion by ensuring that illegal immigrants are sent back to their respective countries.

He made these remarks during a press conference held in Kumasi, where he addressed members of the media.
