AMANSIE WEST DCE AND CHIEFS APPEAL TO GOVERNMENT OVER ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Amansie West, Hon. Prince Manu Moris, has appealed to the government to prioritize the completion of road infrastructure within the district. He noted that the deteriorating state of the roads currently poses a significant threat to the safety and livelihoods of the local population.

According to Hon. Moris the population of Amansie West is growing rapidly due to increased mining activities. He warned that “bad roads could jeopardize these economic activities,” citing the frequent breakdown of vehicles and the increasing distress among local drivers.

While the District Assembly has initiated reshaping works in several areas, the DCE emphasized that substantial government support is required to ensure these projects reach completion.

 

Focus on Youth and Security

Beyond infrastructure, Hon. Morrison highlighted youth unemployment as a critical area requiring urgent government intervention. He called for programs that promote self-reliance to empower the youth within the district.

Speaking during a “Thank You Tour” attended by the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)onbehalff of the President of the Republic of Ghana, the DCE outlined several developmental milestones achieved within the first year of the current administration, including,Security: Renovation of local police stations to enhance community safety.Education: Construction of new classroom blocks to improve access to schooling.Transport: Ongoing road reshaping projects to boost connectivity between rural communities.

NDC Leadership Responds

The National Chairman of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, expressed his gratitude to the DCE and the constituents of Amansie West for their unwavering support. Addressing the concerns raised, Chairman Nketia assured residents that the government is committed to completing all abandoned projects and initiating new ones to improve living conditions.

 

“The development challenges affecting this district will be resolved under this administration,” Chairman Nketia stated.

He further urged party members to remain loyal to the NDC, cautioning against political parties that fail to deliver on their mandates. He reaffirmed that the needs of the Amansie West Constituency would remain a priority, with concrete measures being implemented to ensure all promises are fulfilled.
