Miami Heat’s star Haywood Highsmith misses Yesterday game due to car accident

Highsmith has played 37 games, averaging 5.8 points and 2.8 rebounds per appearance although he played just 3 minutes in their blowout home win over Orlando Magic on Tuesday night 121-95 victory. It was made known to the public that Highsmith was going to miss out on yesterday’s game due to a horror accident.The franchise further made these statements.

 

“We have been made aware that Highsmith was involved in a car accident heading home from last night’s game,”
“Highsmith is listed as out for tonight’s contest against the San Antonio Spurs due to Personal Reasons.”

 

When questioned about how the whole matter occured, the team responded by saying.

“We will have no further comment at this time.”

A report by a Fox Sports’ journalist Andy Slater shared on X, formerly Twitter, that a law-enforcement source told him Highsmith

 

“hit a person helping another driver stuck in the middle of the road on Tuesday night.”Slater reported that “the man who was hit is in critical condition and suffered a partial amputation of his leg.”
