The Pioneer Ghana Gaming & Lottery Awards has been launched

The Ghana Gaming and Lottery Awards has been launched in Accra. The partnering authorities are the Syndicated Entertainment Solution Limited, the Gaming Commision of Ghana, while not forgetting the National Lottery Authority.

The pioneer awards is scheduled to take place in September 2024.

The awards ceremony will recognize, celebrate and award key players in this crucial sector. The awards event also aims to foster innovation and to promote responsible gaming practices among netizens.

The Director of Syndicated Entertainment Solution Ltd., Mrs. Manuella Frempomaa Ansong, at the launch, said,

“Gaming and lottery, much like any other form of entertainment, can bring excitement and joy. However, it is essential that it remains a fun and controlled activity, free from negative impacts that can arise through non-compliance and indifference to its effect on society,”

“We intend to organize the first Gaming and Lottery Awards ceremony in September this year, and we wish to invite everyone here and all industry players to lend us their support , both financial and non-financial. Before the awards ceremony, we shall publish categories of sponsorship and entreat all entities to support this cause.”, she added.

Peter Mireku, the Commissioner for the Gaming Commission of Ghana and Samuel Awuku, the Director General of the NLA were also in attendance.

An evaluation committeee will oversee the upcoming ceremony, to ensure credibility.

Among the various achievements of the National Lottery Authority, NLA, is their inclusion as an Observer Member of the European Lotteries Association. This recent membersip of the Gaming and Lottery sector of Ghana will aid in their target to collaborate internationally and to combat gambling practices done illegally.
