Prince Manu Moris Secures Unanimous Confirmation as Amansie West DCE

In a historic show of unity, Prince Manu Moris was unanimously confirmed as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Amansie West on Thursday, receiving a resounding 100% endorsement from all 39 Assembly Members present. The confirmation exercise, held at the Amansie West District Assembly Hall in Manso Nkwanta, marks a new chapter for the district, with high expectations for accelerated development and inclusive governance.

A Unanimous Vote of Confidence
The confirmation process was a moment of triumph for Moris, who secured all 39 valid votes cast a rare feat that underscores the broad-based support for his leadership. The event drew a cross-section of stakeholders, including government officials, traditional leaders, party faithful, and residents, all eager to witness the pivotal decision.

In his acceptance speech, Moris expressed deep gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for the nomination, describing the opportunity to serve as both an honor and a call to duty.

“I am deeply humbled by the confidence reposed in me, and I assure the good people of Amansie West that I will work tirelessly to bring positive change and development to our communities”, he pledged.

 Development Vision: Infrastructure, Education, and Youth Empowerment
Outlining his priorities, Moris emphasized improved infrastructure, quality education, and youth empowerment as key pillars of his administration. He also stressed the importance of unity, urging stakeholders to set aside differences for the collective progress of the district.

“We must work together, regardless of our differences, to uplift the lives of our people. Unity and teamwork will be the bedrock of our success,” he stated.

His message resonated with attendees, many of whom expressed optimism about the district’s future under his leadership.

Traditional Leaders, Party Members Rally Behind New DCE
Following the confirmation, traditional leaders and residents commended President Mahama for the appointment, voicing confidence in Moris’ ability to deliver.

“We are confident that he will meet our expectations and address the critical challenges facing our communities,” remarked a prominent traditional ruler.

The sentiment was echoed by Eric Kofi Sarpong, popularly known as Borga, a staunch NDC member and businessman, who declared his readiness to support the new DCE.

“I am ever willing to back Hon. Moris to ensure he succeeds in bringing development to Amansie West,” Borga affirmed.

Former NDC Constituency Chairman, Chairman Paoo, also threw his weight behind Moris, stating, “I know he will not disappoint us. He is determined to work hard for the betterment of this constituency.”
