President Mahama Commissions Akweteyman Central Mosque

The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, has officially commissioned the Akweteyman Central Mosque, marking the completion of a key community project requested by residents of the area.

Speaking to the media, the Member of Parliament for Okaikwei North, Hon. Theresa Awuni Lardi, revealed that in 2024, President Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government cut the sod for the construction of the Akweteyman Mosque following a request from the people of Akweteyman. She noted that the President had promised to undertake the project if he won the 2024 general elections- a promise he has fulfilled within six months of assuming office.
