Nana Black Power Warns Non-Ashantis Against Disrespecting Asanteman and Otumfuo
Nana Okonfuo Black Power has issued a strong warning to non-Ashantis who, according to him, continue to insult Asanteman and use the name of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in a disrespectful manner.
Speaking at his premises in Buoho, Black Power condemned individuals who claim Ashantis have no power and refer to them as insignificant. He described such comments as unfair and misleading, emphasizing that Ashantis have demonstrated strength and unity by elevating their king to a high and respected status.
He noted that despite claims that Ashantis are powerless, they have successfully used their influence and collective effort to raise Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to an internationally recognized level of leadership and authority.
Black Power challenged critics who boast of being more powerful than Ashantis to prove it by using their strength to uplift their own traditional leaders instead of attacking others.
He urged Ghanaians to promote respect for cultural institutions and traditional authorities, stressing that unity and pride in one’s heritage are essential for national harmony and development.
