NSUKKA WOMENS ASSOCIATION DONATES TO KUMASI CENTRAL PRISONS.

Nsukka Womens Association has donated packed meals to prison inmates at the Kumasi Central Prisons.

The deputy presented the packed meals and drinks to the prison officers at the forecourt of the prison.

In an interview with the media,the Vice Chair lady, Mrs Catherine Samuel said the donation was to make the inmates enjoy the just-ended Easter festivities

She said the love for Christ affects all humankind and donating to the prisoners was to show love to them.

She stated that the association was optimistic the gesture will go a long way to augment government support to the inmates.

She also added that the association has donated to many orphanage homes across the region as part of its widow’s mite contribution to helping the needy and less privileged in society.

However,she stated that donating to the Prisons is the first of its kind and assured it would be repeated in the coming years to show love to the inmates.
