The people of Jacobu have officially welcomed their new chief, Nana Adu Darko III, following his swearing-in ceremony to Bekwaimanhene. The event marked a significant moment of unity and hope for the Jacobu community as they look forward to a renewed era of development under his leadership.

Nanahemaa Nana Konadu Yiadom, addressing the gathering, expressed gratitude to the citizens for their collective efforts in giving the late chief a dignified burial. She recounted how the royal family, guided by divine revelation from their great-grandfather, unanimously chose Akwasi Sarpong as the rightful successor. Now bearing the stool name Nana Adu Darko III, the new chief has been entrusted with the responsibility of revitalizing Jacobu, which has faced years of neglect and dilapidation.

His teaching career took him to several schools, including Fiakoma L.A., Kokofu, and Amankwatia.

Nana Adu Darko III married his wife in 1997, after which they moved abroad. Known for his wisdom and leadership qualities, his late uncle designated him as his successor, a decision that has now been fulfilled. Nana Adu Darko III also serves as the Benkumhene of Bekwaimanhene.
