The Spiritual Head of the Church of The Lord (Brotherhood), Primate Seth Kwaku Adofo, has advised Ghanaians to eschew violence and promote peace in the upcoming December 7th general elections. He made this call during the church’s 50th-anniversary celebration, themed “Celebrating 50 years of African Christianity; Appreciating Our Heroes and the way Forward Towards Church Growth and National Development”.
The Spiritual Head Adofo emphasized Ghana’s journey through various governance systems, including autocratic, military, and multiparty rule. He urged citizens to vote for candidates who will contribute to the country’s development.

The church leader cautioned against misinformation and disinformation, warning that “our tongue is fire” and should be used carefully to avoid harm. He emphasized the need for consensus building and peaceful coexistence among political parties.
Bishop Kobina Bonney, Goaso Diocesan Head, added that Ghanaians should harness their God-given potentials to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development. He introduced the concept of “Protective, Preserve, and Defend” (PPD), urging citizens to safeguard Ghana’s natural resources, which are being wasted due to poor management. He cited the example of the country’s 103 water bodies, which may be depleted in the next 10 years if not properly preserved.
Bishop Bonney stressed the importance of defending the nation’s resources, just as the military defends against external threats. He emphasized that Ghana belongs to all citizens, and everyone has a responsibility to protect and preserve its resources for future generations.
