EASTER FESTIVITIES: NKAWIE POLICE COMMANDER URGES PUBLIC TO REMAIN SECURE

 

Ahead of the Easter festive season slated from tomorrow, which marks the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Nkawie Divisional Police Commander of the Ghana Police Service, Chief Superintendent Joshua Semanyoh has advised the Public especially the people of Nkawie and its environs to be on their guard during the Easter season and remain vigilant.

 

He said the division has put in place comprehensive security measures to ensure a safe and peaceful 2026 celebration.

Chief Superintendent noted that the Easter season, marked by increased religious activities, large gatherings, and night services requires extra caution, particularly from Christians who actively participate in church programs normally from morning to evening.

 

‘My office urged everyone to be security-conscious, remain vigilant, and report any suspicious cases or activities to Police’. He quotes.

 

The Superintendent placed special responsibility on religious bodeis especially the leadership of the various churches, admonishing Pastors to ensure that services close on time. This according to him, will prevent any form of criminal activities such as robbery, thefts and also help minimise unnecessary danger and menace, and contribute to peaceful 2026 Easter Festive celebrations in the Nkawie Municipality and its environs.

Moving late at night alone after prayers and church service, Chief Semanyoh advised individuals to avoid moving alone, indicating that one may be exposed to a security threat and danger. Recommending that, the adoption of safety measures, such as moving in groups and staying alert, can overall reduce the crime menace.

 

Chief Superintendent Semanyoh made the assertion in an exclusive interview with Loyalnewsonline Reporter, Anita Frimpong at his office in Nkawie. Announcing the readiness of the Nkawie Divisional Police Service to maintain law and order during and after the Easter Festive.

 

“Officers have been deployed on roads and some convention centers within the communities to provide security for the Easter activities within the district”.He Lamented.
