Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, the Member of Parliament for Salaga South Constituency, attended the TECHNOPROM 12 International Forum of Technological Development in Novosibirsk Region, Siberia, Russia, on August 27, 2025

During the event, she expressed Ghana’s readiness to partner with Russia in various areas, including

– Education: Collaborating on educational initiatives and scholarships to benefit Ghanaian students.
– Technology: Exploring opportunities for technological advancements and innovations.
– Human Development: Focusing on capacity-building programs and skills development.
– Science: Encouraging scientific research and cooperation between the two nations.

Her speech highlighted Ghana’s commitment to African development and its desire to leverage Russia’s expertise and resources. As a member of the Ghana-Russia Parliamentary Friendship Association, Hon. Ibrahimah interacted with Hon. Dimitri, the head of the Russia-Africa parliamentary group at the State Duma, to strengthen bilateral ties.

– Empowering Women: Serving as the Vice Chairperson of Parliament’s Gender Committee, advocating for women’s empowerment and gender equality.
– Community Development: Working on community development projects, including water supply systems and primary school programs.
– Diplomatic Experience: Holding positions such as Minister-Counsellor and Head of Information and Public Relations at the Ghana High Commission in London.

As a member of the National Democratic Congress and the first woman to represent Salaga South in parliament, Hon. Ibrahimah continues to make significant strides in promoting development and cooperation between Ghana and Russia.
