Palma International School Holds Its 8th Graduation Ceremony With Calls on Government to Prioritize Private Sector Growth for Youth Employment

In a notable event , Denyame’s Palma International School has held it’s 8th Graduation and Speech Prize Giving Ceremony in Kumasi resonated with calls from academia and education sector leaders urging the Ghanaian government to amplify its backing for the private sector.

They emphasized its potential to tackle youth unemployment.

The colourful graduation ceremony united figures from academia, traditional leaders, religious figures, parents, and students.

Addressing the media during the ceremony, Professor Ebenezer Bonya, Acting Director of Research International Program at AAMUSTED, stressed the necessity of governmental action: “Enhancing conditions for private enterprises is crucial in meeting the employment demands of our youth and driving economic growth.”

Manager Daniel Appiah

Mr. Daniel Appiah, Manager of Palma International School, echoed these sentiments, advocating for reduced tax burdens on private educational institutions to bolster infrastructure and faculty capabilities: “This step will create more teaching positions and significantly improve educational outcomes.”

Emmanuel Kwabena Arthur Frimpong, Headmaster of Palma International School, pushed for digital integration in education: “The adoption of digital platforms by GES will revolutionize teaching and learning in Ghana, benefitting both public and private schools.”

These calls underscore a critical moment for Ghana, where unemployment and educational quality stand as pressing issues. They highlight the pivotal role of government support in fostering economic and educational development nationwide.
