NAHB CELEBRATES 34TH GRADUATION CEREMONY, WITH 135 TRAINING GRADUATED

The Ashanti Regional National Association of Hairdressers and Beauticians (NAHB) has today held their 34th graduation ceremony of the Final Year Trainee of Hairdressers and Beauticians.

Speaking in an Interview on behalf of the Ashanti Regional Minister, the Municipal Chief Executive of Old Tafo, Sadiq Abubakar, stated that aspiring entrepreneurs, particularly those entering the Beauty Industry, face challenges in taking full advantage of the opportunities the sector offers.

MCE Abubakar noted that they must not concentrate only on hair and other makeup areas but must also consider that they would make a considerable fortune and revenue from product sales through a product franchise arrangement with a beauty product manufacturing company.
He asserted that “After going through a period of intensive training, you are graduating, and today you are going into the real world of work where you will face significant challenges. However, whether you succeed or not is entirely dependent upon your ability to locate and take up the opportunities the industry offers.”

These opportunities, MCE Abubakar said, can be identified when young entrepreneurs are disciplined, determined, and focused, adding that people always look out for new and fresh trends in the beauty care industry, hence those in the industry must be innovative and stay one step ahead of the competition.

According to him with the introduction of new technologies, the beauty industry had to constantly innovate to keep up with the demands of modern trends. He urged those in the beauty industry to always be seeking new trends and exploring new fashion in order to be successful in the business, adding that their clients also contribute to their success.

He said Governance under the President of the Republic of Ghana has put in measure to develop the small and medium enterprise sector, because this is the main drivers for Economic growth and technical and vocational training is also at the core of government Job creation strategy.

On her part, the Regional President of the Association, Mrs Janet Osei Sarkodie said over 135 trainees graduate from the Association with a certificate to operate as Hairdressers and Beauticians.

She therefore congratulated the graduates for successfully passing through the training and encouraged them to excel in their various fields of work.

She advised them to cling to the vocational training acquired and, therefore, to be cautious and to practice continuously to improve the skills acquired.
