The Iconic family has organised a free health screening exercise for more than (500) five hundred people at Asokwa AstroTurf in the Asokwa Municipality of Ashanti region Ghana.
Beneficiaries were screened for blood pressure, diabetes, breast cancer, cervical cancer, urine and others.
The head of the medical team Mrs. Evelyn Adobea Danso, midwife at Juabeng Municipal Hospital underscored the need for regular medical screening and check ups. “We are doing this screening to see if all those diseases symptoms is yet to known inside the body or if it is there, we can give some proper medications to cure it at tender stage because when it gets worst, the curing is had” she explained.
Mrs. Evelyn Adobea Danso continue that according to research cervical cancer kills woman everyday and it takes (10) Ten to (15) years before its started to manifest in human beings physical appearance. The cervical cancer comes with no symptoms and it can be with you for you give birth with all your children. “Where the fallopiens tube are it is very difficult to detect this disease and women feel shy to showcase their private parts for treatment” she lamented.
“Some kinds of diseases is killing both male and females so each and everyone should let regular check ups be their number one priority, always goes to the hospitals and check your BP, Weight and Height so that they will know your (BMI) Body Mass Index for them to know if your Normal, Over weight or Obesity and let them see proper medications they should give to you” She advised.
According to the association president
Mr. Kwaku Dua says that this free health screening is part of their annual activities that they do yearly. “We are doing this health screening for free that comes with a package of free medications and if someone diagnosed with any sickness we are providing the person with free drugs” he authored.
Mr. Dua again said our association is stretching their alms and impacting lifes of the vulnerable ones, and our next activity this year is to go and donate books for the good people of Sehwi Bibiani village. ” We have previously donated some items to some institutions since the birth of our organisation and this coming December we want to donates some stationaries to the people of Bibiani village so some of the stakeholders and philanthropist should come and support us” Mr. Kwaku Dua explained.
