Ghana’s Black Starlets Land in Ivory Coast for 2025 WAFU B U-17 Cup of Nations

Ghana’s U-17 national team, the Black Starlets, arrived in Ivory Coast on Tuesday, September 16, to compete in the 2025 WAFU B U-17 Cup of Nations. Led by coach Prosper Narteh Ogum, the team is gearing up for the tournament, which will take place in Yamoussoukro, primarily at the Charles Konan Banny Stadium.

The Black Starlets are drawn in Group A alongside hosts Ivory Coast, Niger, and Togo. The tournament, running from September 20 to October 3, 2025, kicks off with Ghana facing Togo on September 20, followed by matches against Ivory Coast on September 23 and Niger on September 26.

This competition also serves as a qualifier for the next U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), making it a crucial platform for the young talents to secure a spot on the continental stage.
