Christianity Is Not a Club, the Bible Is God’s Living Word – Apostle Dr. Thomas Fordjour

Apostle Dr. Thomas Fordjour Brechum, Founder and General Overseer of Apostle Fordjour Evangelistic Ministries, has urged Christians to return to the true meaning of faith and a deeper understanding of the Bible as they enter the New Year.

Speaking to Loyal News Ghana during the church’s 31st Night crossover service, Apostle Dr. Fordjour said Christianity is practiced across the world, yet many people misunderstand its true essence.

According to him, some people now see Christianity as merely joining a group or following what others do, rather than living by the Word of God.

He explained that many also wrongly believe the Bible is an ordinary book written by humans, without understanding its divine nature.

“The Bible speaks in parables and addresses issues of today and tomorrow. It never fades away, and it is the foundation we must build our lives on,” he said.

Apostle Dr. Fordjour stressed that the Bible reveals Jesus Christ as the Son of God who came to earth to save humanity through righteousness and truth.

He noted that because people cannot physically see spiritual realities, they often fail to give proper attention to the teachings of Christ.

“Jesus Christ is not a mere object of worship. He is the Father of all, and people must come to that understanding,” he added.

Reflecting on his 52 years in ministry, Apostle Dr. Fordjour testified to the goodness of God and called on today’s generation to humble themselves and stop destroying the work of God through disobedience and misinterpretation of scripture.

“If you want to be a good person, do not go contrary to the Bible. Try to understand it, and it will help you,” he advised.

He also spoke on leadership, reminding leaders that authority comes from God and is not self-made.

“It is God who gives the crown. We came to meet it. If you have the opportunity to lead, humble yourself and always remember that you are only a caretaker,” he emphasized.

Apostle Dr. Fordjour concluded by encouraging Christians to embrace humility, biblical truth, and obedience in the New Year, assuring that such a lifestyle will bring peace, purpose, and divine direction.
