The Amenfi Central District in the Western Region of Ghana has launched a one-week Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign with a symbolic health walk and free health screenings.

 

The event, held at Manso Amenfi, the district capital, saw participation from community leaders, departmental heads, and other stakeholders.

The campaign, themed “Amenfi Central Goes Pink,” aims to raise awareness about breast cancer and promote early detection and prevention in the community. Speaking at the launch, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe emphasized the importance of unity in the fight against breast cancer, urging all to put aside political affiliations and work together towards a common goal.

 

“Everyone must put political affiliations aside and unite in the fight against breast cancer,” Hon. Cudjoe said.
