Adansi Akrofoum crowned the Under-17 inter-town / inter-district football competition with a massive turnout

As part of the government’s effort to ensure every district develops, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, introduced the 17 inter-town/inter-district football competition in Ashanti.

The competition is to showcase the region’s commitment to youth development. The competition also highlights grassroots sports and community engagement.

Speaking to the media at the just-ended district games and on behalf of the Adansi Akrofuom DCE, NADMO Coordinator, and Personal Assistant to the DCE, Festus Ekow Quarshie said sports are vital for discovering young talent. According to him, it is also a form of exercising the body for proper and better growth.

He noted that the competition aims to foster discipline and teamwork among Communities. It provides a structured platform for nurturing future football stars.

“The competition has been tremendous because all the players exhibit self-discipline, Commitment among all, and the referee has proved professionalism. With this, I can confidently say football in Akrofoum is something good to write about in the future. He lamented.
