Abofun Assembly Member Praises Okaikwei North MP for Health Initiative

The Assembly Member for the Abofun Electoral Area, Hon. James, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Member of Parliament for Okaikwei North Constituency, Hon. Theresa Lardi Awuni, for her commitment to improving community healthcare.

Speaking to the media, Hon. James emphasized that among the many Members of Parliament in the country, few take the initiative to organize such impactful programs in their constituencies. He noted that the involvement of Assembly Members helped boost participation, and he thanked Hon. Awuni for her continuous support, praying that God blesses the source of her resources.

He pointed out that this is not the first time the MP has supported the constituency and expressed confidence that it will not be the last. He pledged his full support as an Assembly Member, encouraging residents to embrace these initiatives.

Hon. James further stated that many people tend to rely on hearsay instead of participating in opportunities available to them. He explained that after the announcement was made, residents turned up and received free medical care, including medication, without paying any consultation fee. He described the gesture as overwhelming.

Quoting the popular saying “Oliver Twist,” he said they are grateful yet hopeful for more. Although they initially expected more than 300 people to attend, he expressed satisfaction with the turnout and prayed for strength and more support for the MP to continue such programs.
