Krofrom zone of GNTDA has graduated 26 tailors and dressmakers

The Chairman for Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association, Krofrom zone in the Krofrom Municipality of Ashanti Kwabena Anokye says the central government should help with the completion of a centre which will train and cater for tailors and dressmaker in Ghana.

According to chairman Kwabena Anokye the centre will fall part of the one district one factory agenda by the ruling government.
“We GNTDA (Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association) Ashanti region chapter masters are plenty, we have the zeal and willing to teach who so ever want to do some of our profession” Chairman Anokye said.

Chairman Anokye again said all we need is one district one factory centre for us to teach our apprentice well with modern fashion styles, and as an association we are building our own centre and we pleading with the government should come and support us with what we have started. If you travel to countries like Turkey, Germany and others this same tailoring work has taking them far.

Chairman Kwabena Anokye disclosed this to newsupgh.com where 26 tailors and dressmakers were graduated at Krofrom to meet the job market.

Chairman Kwabena Anokye continue that they the master have used their own pocket money to purchase machines for their apprentice. ” If they finish graduation we cannot let them go and stay home without doing anything so we buy machines for them to go and start something small and later they paid, but now the economy is high and we can’t afford it anymore this the reason we want upper hands with a support” Chairman Anokye said.

Chairman Anokye further said our aim is to get centre in Ashanti region here and grow a company to become a global brand.

The former chairman for the association Krofrom zone Mr. Kwadwo A. Donkor also share his grievances that the YEA programs that they do to award them with sum prizes

Someone needs only Gh¢3000 to establish his or her business but they would still give huge amount to some people you can see and testify that is okay with them which is not helping at all means” former Chairman fumes.
