As part of his accountability to his Constituency tour 2025, the Member of Parliament for Madina, Honourable Francis Xavier Kojo Sosu, has paid a courtesy call on Pantang Hospital and donated 50 streetlights to support the hospital’s upcoming 50th anniversary celebration, which commences from the 29th of August, 2025.
The 50 streetlights which were received by the Director of Pantang Hospital, Dr. Yennusom Maalug, together with his administrative team, at the forecourt of the hospital’s administrative block, seek to improve lightening system at the hospital and its environs.
Speaking with the Media, Hon. Francis Xavier Sosu said,
” Pantang Hospital is in Madina and as part of my accountability to my constituency tour 2025, and also looking at the good works the Director of the hospital, Dr Yennusom Maalug is doing few months he took office, then the need to support his course by donating these 50 streetlights towards the hospital’s upcoming 50th anniversary celebration.

Hon. Sosu revealed that, he is working tirelessly to see to it that, the road to the hospital is worked on.
” I am seeking all possible avenues for the road to the hospital to be worked on, and also all the other roads in my constituency which have been deteriorated”.
Hon. Sosu also donated items, and monies to several communities and institutions in his constituency to support their courses.
The Honorable Member of Parliament for Madina, Francis Xavier Kojo Sosu, then assured his constituents that, their trust in him and entrusting the Constituency into his hands the second time would not go wasted.
” I know my constituents gave me a second term because they appreciate my efforts.”
” I am working hand-in-hand with our able Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Ibrahim Faila Fuseini, the executives of my Constituency and all stakeholders to ensure we see the Madina we are all looking forward to, in the coming months.
Addressing the Media, the Director of Pantang Hospital, Dr. Yennusom Maalug, expressed his profound gratitude to Hon. Sosu’s kind gesture towards the hospital’s upcoming 50th anniversary celebration.
” My team and I are more than grateful to the Hon. Member of Parliament for Madina, Francis Sosu for donating 50 street lights to boost the hospital’s lightening system. He appreciated.
Dr Maalug then appealed to the government, the Member of Parliament for Madina, and the Municipal Chief Executive, as a matter of urgency to come to the aid of PANTANG Hospital.
” Although Pantang Hospital would be celebrating it’s 50th anniversary of excellence healthcare which commences from 29th August, 2025, yet the hospital is in a deplorable state” Dr Maalug said.
” The buildings are too old, the hospital lacks enough staff, the road to the hospital has deteriorated, and a whole lots of challenges, which as a matter of urgency need to be addressed” Dr Maalug lamented.
Dr. Maalug expressed that, he wishes for a redesigned and ultramodern Pantang Hospital in the coming days.
The Director of Pantang Hospital, Dr Yennusom Maalug pleaded with the president of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, the Member of Parliament for Madina Hon. Francis Xavier Kojo Sosu, the Municipal Chief Executive for La- Nkwantanang Madina, Hon. Ibrahim Faila Fuseini, all stakeholders, philanthropists, and individuals to take advantage of PANTANG Hospital’s 50th anniversary and leave a legacy for future generations.
