Primate Seth Kwaku Adofo Urges Reflection and Positive Change Ahead of 2025
His Eminence Primate Seth Kwaku Adofo, the leader of the Church of the Lord Brotherhood, has called on Ghanaians to leave behind the negative experiences of 2024 and focus on the positives as they enter 2025. Speaking at the church’s headquarters in Kumasi Suntreso during an exclusive interview, he emphasized the need to correct past mistakes and move forward with renewed determination.
He noted that the abundance of resources and opportunities in recent times has, unfortunately, led to increased sinful behavior. “If there is no church, what would happen? This is why we will not tire in preaching the gospel to everyone,” Primate Adofo stated, reaffirming the church’s commitment to its mission.
Primate Adofo expressed concern about the behaviors of some Christians, pointing out that many of them frequent places like prisons and beer bars, yet attend church regularly. He likened these issues to a societal “disease” that the church must work to cure. He further criticized Christians who own drinking bars, alcoholic beverage companies, and engage in practices contrary to Christian values, calling for greater accountability within the faith.
Addressing Ghanaian prophets, particularly those leading one-man churches, Primate Adofo urged them to exercise caution in their prophecies to avoid causing fear and panic among citizens. “If someone comes to your church, pray for the person and seek guidance from the Most High. Don’t spew baseless prophecies,” he cautioned.
He also advised churches to adhere to proper doctrines and constitutions governing their operations. “One-man churches should not assume they can do whatever pleases them. They must act responsibly and in accordance with their faith.”
As the 31st December watch-night services approach, Primate Adofo called for vigilance and peaceful celebrations devoid of fear-mongering, urging all Christians to enter the new year with hope and a commitment to righteousness.
