Okaikwei MP, Hon. Patrick Bomah Donates GHs 50,000, 200 Bags of Cement to Affected Adum-PZ Traders
The Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, Hon. Patrick Yaw Bomah has made a generous donation of GHs 50,000 and 200 bags of cement to traders who were affected by the Adum PZ fire outbreak in Kumasi.
He made the donation at the time he paid an inspection visit to the devasted area on Monday.
The MP was led to the scene by the Member of Parliament for Subin Constituency, Hon. Kofi Obiri Yeboah, with the support of some NPP regional executives and constitutency chairmen.
The gesture by the MP adds up to the list of political figures and philanthropists who have earlier donated to supported over 10,000 traders whose businesses were destroyed by the fire.
Addressing the affected traders, he promised to top up with an additional amount of GHs 50,000 when redevelopment of the market kick starts.
Hon. Patrick Yaw Bomah who was saddened by the level of devastation noted that aside the visit and donation, he turned up to commiserate with the traders and encourage them.
“A situation like this is when love is demonstrated the most”, he remarked.
He pleaded on custodians of the various donations to exercise truthfulness in their handling.
He also urged the traders to stay united.
