Bosomtwe Community Bank Reports 128.04% Profit Surge in 2025

 

Bosomtwe Community Bank PLC has announced a historic financial performance for the 2025 fiscal year, headlined by a remarkable 128.04% jump in profit before corporation tax. The bank’s profitability climbed from GH₵12,097,477 in 2024 to an impressive GH₵27,587,039 in 2025.

 

This surge in earnings was the centerpiece of the bank’s 36th Annual General Meeting (AGM), held today at the St. George Catholic Church in Kuntanase. The event brought together shareholders, traditional leaders, and high-profile dignitaries, including the Minister for Education, Dr.Yaw Osei Adutwum, and Baffour Kwaku Amoateng IV, to review the institution’s robust growth.

 

Board Chairman Mr. Isaac Awuku Tetteh attributed the success to a combination of strategic initiatives and a stabilizing macroeconomic environment. The bank’s total assets recorded a significant 34.72% growth, rising from GH₵327,469,898 in 2024 to GH₵441,161,883 in 2025. Total deposits followed a similar upward trajectory, growing by 32.16% from GH₵297,014,348 in 2024 to GH₵392,859,599 in 2025.

Furthermore, the bank demonstrated its commitment to the local economy by increasing its loans and advances portfolio by 37.41%, rising from GH₵50,689,297 in 2024 to GH₵69,650,956 in 2025. This was supported by a 35.52% expansion in its investment portfolio, which saw holdings in government Treasury bills and other securities grow from GH₵223,453,568 to GH₵302,827,446 over the same period.

Reflecting the bank’s strong financial health and expanded shareholders’ funds which grew by 63.60% to reach GH₵31,509,136-the Board of Directors announced a significant increase in dividends. Shareholders will receive GH₵0.10 per share for 2025, a substantial rise from the GH₵0.04 per share paid out in 2024.

 

The performance of the bank, formerly known as Bosomtwe Rural Bank PLC, drew praise from community leaders.

 

Mr. Tetteh concluded the meeting by reaffirming the bank’s commitment to maintaining operational efficiency and asset quality, ensuring that the bank remains a cornerstone of economic development in the Bosomtwe community.

Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe Constituency Dr.Yaw Osei Adutwum, commended the bank for making professional banking services accessible and lucrative for the local population, while pledging his support for infrastructure development in the district.

 

Baffour Kwaku Amoateng IV: Applauded the bank’s professionalism and service delivery, assuring the board of the traditional authority’s continued support.
